RPI? R.I.P.

The Big Ten, with its #1 RPI ranking, doesn't survive opening weekend? Next year we'll use D1 Scheduling.

At least Michigan made the finals of the NIT.

Super 6 Tournament - Championship Game

Oskee Wow-Wow capped off a great two year run by beating U Nelson Christian 73-40, in the Super 6 Championship Game. OWW's record over the last two seasons is 24-4 including tournament play, an .857 winning percentage. It's the 7th banner for the Warriors, tying them with UNC and UH for most all-time. Can OWW three-peat? It won't be easy. Their graduation list reads like a Big Ten "Who's Who". UNC knows all about graduation rates. Six Doves played their swansong, including Paul Davis and Dee Brown ... Great Lakes Christian and Hershey needed overtime to settle the third place consolation game. Dan Coleman outscored Jamar Butler 10-9 in the extra session to give GLC a 77-76 victory. Ron Lewis and Geary Claxton scored 17 points apiece for the Crusaders, who say sayanora to Vincent Grier, Je'kel Foster, Matt Kiefer and Graham Brown. UH seniors Jeff Horner (26 points) and JJ Sullinger (9) logged their last minutes for the Red Storm.
