Game 8 - The Big Two Roll

Great Lakes Christian and Robert Montgomery U, aka The Big Two, cruised to easy victories in Game 8 (1/22 - 1/26). Raymar Morgan scored 23 points to carry GLC past Oskee Wow-Wow, 83-21. Freshman Robbie Hummel replaced the injured Geary Claxton and netted 15 points in his Super 6 debut as the first-place Crusaders improved to 7-1. OWW's Shaun Pruitt rode the bench due to "disciplinary reasons." Keaton Grant and Joe Krabbenhoft had 8 points each for the Warriors ... RMU stayed one game off the pace with an 81-40 win over Nelson Christian. Four of RMU's starters scored 14 points or more, led by Manny Harris' 26. Kevin Coble added 17 to help the red-hot Knights win their sixth straight. DeShawn Sims scored 10 points to pace the offensively-challenged Doves (2-6) ... Craig Moore poured in 28 points and Jamar Butler tacked on 27 as Hershey snapped a four-game losing streak with a 90-71 win over Superior Baptist. The win leaves UH (3-5) tied for third place with SBU & OWW.

Game 7 - Nobody's Perfect, Again

Robert Montgomery U climbed to within one game of first place, and ended GLC's hopes for a perfect season, with a 65-47 win in Game 7 (1/16-1/20). RMU's Marcus Landry scored 21 points in a rare start and Kevin Coble, who's been unstoppable since his return to the team, added 19. After an 0-2 start, the Knights have racked up 5 straight wins to turn up the heat on front-running GLC. The Crusaders lost for the first time this season AND lost leading scorer Geary Claxton for the season with an ACL injury ... Superior Baptist snapped a four-game skid with a 72-54 win over Nelson Christian. Jamelle Cornley, who should become a big-time scorer at Penn State with Claxton out, paced the Crusaders with 19 points ... Keaton Grant scored 22 points to lead Oskee Wow-Wow past Hershey, 69-54. Shaun Pruitt tacked on 19 for the Warriors, who have won three of their last four. Hershey has dropped four straight.

Years Of Imperfection ... The Super 6 has never had an undefeated champion. GLC's Game 7 loss keeps that streak alive for the 17th season. Somewhere, Jeff Horner is jumping.

Game 4 - Career Goals

Raymar Morgan and Manny Harris reach new heights as Game 4 becomes Career Day

Raymar Morgan wrapped up "Career Day" with a career-high 31 points as Great Lakes Christian beat Nelson Christian 91-41 in Game 4 (12/30-1/5). Geary Claxton tacked on 29 for the Crusaders, who are averaging 87 ppg en route to a 4-0 start ... Manny Harris also set a career-best with 25 points to lead Robert Montgomery U past Hershey, 76-62. Brian Butch added 22 and Jason Okrzesik finished with 14 to help the Knights improve to 2-2 and join a three-team log jam in second place, along with Hershey and SBU. U-H's Jamar Butler scored a career-high 32 and moved into second place on the Super 6 Scoring List, but it wasn't enough to keep the Red Storm from falling to the .500 mark ... Oskee Wow-wow picked up its first win of the season, 67-43 over Superior Baptist. The Warriors got the win thanks to a career-high (of course) 17 points from Keaton Grant and 17 more from Michael Thompson. Eric Gordon led SBU with 25 points (not even close to his career high).
