Game 4 - No Dee-fense

Around the Super 6 - Dee Brown was unstoppable, pouring in a career-high 34 points as Nelson Christian handled Superior Baptist, 82-43 in Game 4 (1/3-1/8). Brown's explosion came at the expense of Michigan State, which has been criticized for their lack of Dee-fense so far this season. Shannon "The Other" Brown added 17 as the Doves snapped a two-game skid and edged a little closer to OWW in the overall points race. SBU was led by 20 points from Jamelle Cornley, who has emerged as the early leader for Freshmen of the Year (it's not even close at this point) ... Oskee Wow-wow stayed unbeaten by embarrassing Hershey, 75-28. Vedran Vukusic's 28 points and Alando Tucker's 27 carried the Warriors to the victory. Actually, Vukusic alone would have been enough to tie the Red Storm. There might be rumors about point shaving if the UH offense doesn't get it together soon ... Geary Claxton and Vincent Grier combined for more than half of Great Lakes Christian's points, as the Crusaders topped Robert Montgomery U, 62-47. Claxton finished with 17 points and Grier had 15 as GLC took sole possession of second place at 3-1. Marco Killingsworth and Adam Haluska had 15 points apiece for the Knights, who were hurt by single digits from Brian Butch and no digits from Jamar Smith.

*** Not A Friend Of The Program ... UNC's Dee Brown goes for 34 against Michigan State on Thursday. UNC's Kammron Taylor lights up the Spartans for 27 on Sunday. Hmmmm. Is UNC coach (and life-long MSU fan) Nelson sharing insider info with his Doves?
